Refresher course for Science and STEM Safety trainings.
This research-based online professional development course is designed as a safety refresher course for high school, middle school, and elementary school science and STEM educators on how to prevent accidents in their classrooms. You will gain the knowledge and skills to identify and manage chemical hazards, handle and store chemicals safely, dispose of chemical waste properly, respond to chemical spills, and use personal protection equipment. Suggested to complete this formal safety and compliance training in year 2 and 3 of your continuous safety training program. Completing a comprehensive safety training course is required at least annually under OSHA 1910.1450 (The Laboratory Standard) and a refresher course should be taken in the following 2 years before enrolling in a full session safety training and learning course.
